SEOnomer supports multiple import methods to get your keyword research into the system quickly. Here's how to use each one.
Importing from Ahrefs
SEOnomer automatically detects Ahrefs CSV exports and maps the columns correctly.
- 1. In Ahrefs, go to Keywords Explorer or Site Explorer
- 2. Export your keyword list as CSV
- 3. In SEOnomer, go to Strategy and click "Import Keywords"
- 4. Upload your CSV file or paste the data
- 5. SEOnomer will auto-detect Ahrefs format and map Volume, KD, Traffic Potential, and CPC
Pro Tip: Ahrefs exports include Traffic Potential which helps prioritize keywords with high opportunity scores.
Importing from SEranking
SEranking exports are also auto-detected.
- 1. In SEranking, go to your keyword research project
- 2. Export your keywords as CSV
- 3. Upload to SEOnomer the same way as Ahrefs
- 4. The system will map Volume, Difficulty, Competition, and CPC USD automatically
Generic CSV Import
For other tools or custom spreadsheets, use the generic CSV import with column mapping.
Your CSV should have at minimum a column with keywords. Optional columns include:
- Keyword - The target keyword (required)
- Volume / Search Volume - Monthly search volume
- KD / Difficulty - Keyword difficulty score
- CPC - Cost per click value
- Traffic - Estimated traffic potential
If SEOnomer can't auto-detect your columns, it will show a column mapping interface where you can manually assign each column.
Sitemap Import
You can also import existing pages from a sitemap to track your current content.
- 1. On the Strategy page, click the sitemap icon
- 2. Enter your sitemap URL (e.g., https://example.com/sitemap.xml)
- 3. SEOnomer will fetch and parse the sitemap
- 4. Select which URLs to import as existing pages
Note: Sitemap import creates "existing pages" to track your current content. For new content planning, use keyword import instead.
Import Limits
To ensure smooth processing, there's a limit of 50 keywords per import. For larger keyword lists, split your import into multiple batches.
Duplicate Detection
SEOnomer automatically detects duplicate and near-duplicate keywords during import. You can choose to skip duplicates or import them anyway. Near-duplicates (keywords with minor spelling variations) are also flagged so you can decide which version to keep.
